FileMaker Runtime on iPhone
I know there’s already FMTouch, but it would be great if there was an official FileMaker client on the iPhone which could connect to networked served DBs, sync to local clients over Wifi etc.
I don’t expect it to be a full FileMaker client, more like a runtime, it can only open DBs and not edit them.
Since they already have Bento on the iPhone surely that’s half the work done?

Why FMTouch can sync to databases hosted on a server via wifi and internet and also deploy and connect to runtime solutions. Just saying

Since most things are going to the iphone and the tablet. I think filemaker developers should be able to be rewarded for their loyalty to have a runtime that played as an iphone app. Not bento The bento thing is like Director and Flash. Director has been fading and flash just took over. It punished all the hard core director developers . Don’t let filemaker do the same thing. This is the time to make or break filemaker with a runtime for mobile devices. So filemaker has a decision to make. They can have sophisticated apps on iphone and get known . Or they can have useful mediocre apps via other means. Sad but lets see how loyal they are to their developers.
